ALEXANDRA SEILING
After completion of my undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo and the Université de Nantes, I pursued my academia in the realm of education at the University of Nipissing. During these studies I was fortunate to publish two research works concerning French language acquisition and motivations. I am currently entering my third year of teaching secondary school in the French Immersion stream in Waterloo Region. At the same time, I am working on my Masters of Education at the University of Toronto. I am an enthusiast of all things education, travel and languages! I hope you find our gamification resources useful to your own classroom!

Prior to coming to Toronto, I have been working in the field of international education for over 8 years. Most of my experience was with China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) which is affiliated to Chinese Ministry of Education and I have managed various kinds of educational exchange programs between China and the other parts of the world, such as Zhi-Xing China Fellowship, the flagship project under the People-to-People Exchange Mechanism at the Vice-Premier level between China and the US. I also managed Eisenhower Fellowships in China and Cross-strait Youth Leadership Camp between mainland and Taiwan for many years. Apart from that, my another role was to research on the world quality assurance systems in cross-border education and conduct the accreditation in Chinese-foreign joint institutions and programs. I also worked as a Marketing Director in a private education group and was responsible for a large portfolio of international cooperative programs.
KATHARINE KELLER
After working for 13 years at Queen’s University and the University of Toronto with students living in residence, I began my career as a teacher.
Starting out as an elementary Occasional Teacher has given me insight into today’s classrooms. Considering that I completed my B.Ed 13 years ago, much has changed, technology being the most impactful one for me as a new-ish teacher.
In addition to teaching, I’m chipping away at my M.Ed. part-time and am scheduled to finish next summer.
I’m passionate about travelling and have been fortunate enough to be to 25 different countries including China, Nigeria, and Ireland (my 3 favourite).

I am in my last year of studies towards completing my M.Ed in Curriculum & Pedagogy with two emphasis focus on Arts Education and Qualitative Methodology. I have completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) in 2017. My undergraduate program consisted of specializing in Arts Management, majoring in Music and Culture and minoring in Sociology. My interest is in arts education, specifically music education. In pursuing the M.Ed program at OISE, I am looking forward to see how I can apply my newfound knowledge towards music educational programming and audience engagement in the non-profit arts. At the same time, I have been looking at music research gaps which may take me further into the academia and research realm in the future.
